Individual project where we where given one week to create an experience-based interaction for the light festival Island of Light. The customer wants to increase participation and improve the experience of the festival Island of Light. The product must be adapted to the mobile phone as it is the primary communication channel during the festival.

Island of Light is public, family-friendly and free. Anyone can enjoy the combination of nature and art at Smögen.

The aim of the project was to create a digital platform that the visitor could interact with and feel more involved in the festival. Research of other light festivals that where organized around the world were done and it showed that the visitors photographed alot, but then only the artworks itself without any interactions.

In order to get the visitor to become a part of the artwork, custom animations were created where a place for the visitor to step in to the animation itself where designed in order to let the user be photographed together with the artwork to be a part of it.

The idea is a digital service where the user can choose what to display and will also be able to influence and change this artwork while it is displayed through the app. This service will be called Interactive Corner and will be part of a larger service that includes all possible information that may be needed regarding the festival.
